At GENESIZ Studio, we offer weekly K-pop dance classes in Southampton. We welcome participants of all skill levels, and you’re free to join any class regardless of the level indicated. You’ll be learning official K-pop choreographies from your favourite idols, with our instructors offering guidance to help the entire class progress together.
Please note that all our dance classes are recorded for online content, including full class video highlights, group covers, and more.

While each session is labelled with a difficulty level—beginner, intermediate, or advanced—to help guide you, everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace. You'll be learning official K-pop choreographies from your favourite idols, with our instructors offering guidance to help the entire class progress together.
Our beginner classes are ideal for those with minimal dance experience or anyone looking to have fun while building on basic skills. We'll break down the moves step by step, helping you feel confident and enjoy every moment.
Our intermediate classes are for dancers who want to build on their existing skills and master more intricate routines. We’ll focus on refining your technique and exploring complex choreography, offering tailored guidance to elevate your dance performance.
Our advanced classes are for experienced dancers ready to take their skills to the next level. We’ll delve into intricate choreography and sophisticated techniques, offering precise instruction to challenge and enhance your abilities.

Get your body moving with a warm-up to lock into the rhythm, followed by a foundational warm-up that targets a key part of the choreography to prepare for the session ahead.
CHOREO BREAKDOWN
We'll break down the choreography step by step, teaching you the counts to help make even the more challenging moves easier to master.
SLOW-MO PRACTICE
Slow things down to focus on accuracy and build confidence before speeding it up.
FULL-SPEED RUN
Take it to full speed to bring out the full K-pop energy and see how all the moves come together.
CLASS SPOTLIGHT
We’ll film the entire class performing the full choreography together, highlighting the energy and effort everyone has put into mastering the choreography.
PERFORMANCE STAGE
Team up with a small group for a small performance, complete with professional filming and editing to capture the moment. If you’re feeling confident, step up for a solo and showcase your skills by executing the choreography with your personal style.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCED?
Yes. Our schedule is always posted on Instagram, so turn on notifications because tickets sell out fast.
I DON’T SEE ANY SCHEDULE ON THE WEBSITE?
That means no classes are currently scheduled. Keep an eye on our Instagram posts and stories for the latest updates.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A CLASS IS FULLY BOOKED?
You can join the waitlist and you’ll get an email if a spot opens. If demand is high, we may add another class at a different time.
HOW MUCH IS IT PER CLASS?
Each class is £10.
DO YOU OFFER CLASS PACKAGES?
We offer monthly passes that cover 4 classes in that month. If fewer than 4 classes are scheduled, no pass will be available. To buy a pass, add it to your basket first, then select your classes.
IS THERE A CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULE POLICY?
All sales are final, no refunds. However, if you can’t attend, we can transfer your booking to another class.
CAN BEGINNERS JOIN OR DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?
Everyone is welcome to join any class, no matter the level. Each session is labeled beginner, intermediate, or advanced for guidance, but you’re encouraged to learn at your own pace. If you know the song we’re teaching, even better, give it a go!
DO YOU OFFER CLASSES FOR ALL AGES?
Our classes are mixed ages, with students ranging from secondary school to adults, some as young as 10. The atmosphere is family-like, fun, and friendly, with plenty of chances to make new friends while growing your skills.
WHAT STYLES OF DANCE DO YOU TEACH?
We mainly teach K-pop choreography, but we also run original choreography classes created by our talented in-house choreographers. These are perfect for dancers who want to push their skills and explore beyond K-pop.
HOW LONG IS EACH CLASS?
Each class is 2 hours long. We break it into sections for a complete and immersive experience. At the end, there’s a group cover video and a chance for confident dancers to perform solo. You’re also welcome to film on your own phone.
I DO NOT WANT TO BE FILMED, IS THAT OK?
Yes, absolutely! Just let a staff member know when you arrive.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?
Just bring water, good vibes, and energy, we’ve got the rest covered! Only take your water bottle into class; leave other belongings in the lobby.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?
Wear comfy clothes and trainers you can move in. K-pop is visual, so some students may dress like the idols. Occasionally, we’ll ask students to come in specific themes.
WHERE IS THE STUDIO LOCATED?
We’re close to Southampton Central Train Station. The address is Unit 17 Loveridge Ln, Southampton, SO15 1GQ.
WHAT FACILITIES ARE THERE?
There’s free parking outside, a waiting area, and a toilet.
CAN I JUST COME AND WATCH?
Yes! Please message us in advance so we know you’re coming.
CAN I COME ALONE?
Definitely! You can come solo.
IS THERE A COMMUNITY GROUPCHAT?
Yes! We have a WhatsApp community group chat. It’s great for live updates on classes and events, and for meeting friends to go with. Message us directly and we’ll add you.
DO YOU HAVE A DANCE TEAM?
Yes! We have our very own GENESIZ Crew, which performs at events to represent the studio. The team also has regular practices and works on dance cover projects throughout the year, giving members opportunities to improve their skills, collaborate with others, and perform in front of an audience.
HOW DO I JOIN THE DANCE TEAM?
Auditions are held annually at the start of the school term. Some dancers may also be invited based on their performance in class.

DO YOU OFFER INTERNSHIPS OR WORK EXPERIENCE?
We don’t currently offer structured internships, but we sometimes have opportunities for volunteers to help with events. This is a great way to gain experience in studio operations while being part of the studio community.
HOW DO I JOIN THE TEAM AS A DANCE INSTRUCTOR?
We don’t usually advertise publicly, but you’re welcome to send your CV, experience references, and a short dancing video for consideration.
